Nov 2023 I made an appointment with my brother for dinner. While I was waiting for him to arrive, I went to the library again. Fortunately, I came across a book that was already on the to-read list, which saved me the time of waiting to reserve the book. We couldn't think of what to eat. My tooth was inflamed due to cavities and I suddenly wanted to eat fried food, so I went to a neighborhood shop to eat Nanru Chicken Balls. Thankfully, there weren’t too many dine-in customers that night, so 2 people sat at a table for 4, so it was quite comfortable. Every time I come here, I order the Nanru Chicken Ball Rice Noodles, no matter what. The signature Nanru Chicken Ball Rice Noodles need no further recommendation. Neighbors all know that the fried chicken balls are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are cheap, plentiful and cost-effective. The southern milk sauce is served separately, instead of marinating the chicken balls in the southern milk sauce and then frying them. But I just like the sauce. The southern milk sauce is sweet but always has a strong taste. It is most comfortable to control how much sauce you put on it. What surprised me the most was the homemade cuttlefish ball rice noodles that my brother ordered. The cuttlefish balls tasted very bland but were refreshing and chewy. They were more chewy than the cuttlefish balls bought in the supermarket. The appearance and texture were also different from ordinary cuttlefish balls. I guess they were really homemade. , I will have one more choice next time I come back.
